Casting Our Nets

We may become discouraged at our results for we seem to gather in so little fruit: a life changed here, a little victory over a temptation there. But Christ bids us to let down our net again, to continue our work, and to trust that He pulls in the net with us.

Aisles, Not Isles

God raises up men and women to sustain the burdens for us all, and it is the group's duty to be with the person in heart and mind.

Preventing Grace

There are times in all our lives when a prevailing grace becomes a preventing grace; when a friend will remind us that it isn't our nature to say or do what, in a momentary indignation, we would so like to say or do.

Four Men

The Four Men met for years after It happened. They were so young back then. They were foolish and assumed that they knew it all, that what they did back then was right. They even secretly cut the cloth in four pieces. Never did they dream that the drama they took part in would affect the world for all time.

The Other Nine

The ten had faith enough to receive health; the one who returned with appreciation was given that extra measure of friendship with God. The others would never realize what they missed.

He Walks and He Talks With Us

Jesus quietly entered into their discouraged lives and conversation and comforted them. None can dare say or think that Jesus doesn't care about the pedestrian person! Love, with pierced feet, walks ahead to give all hope.

Practicing Patience

A series of very quiet days leads the author to appreciate patience and the spiritual growth it nurtures.

The Defining Moment

The defining moment. It will show how you handle your life and your business. Are you really ready to own your own business?

Too Heavenly Minded?

Are you too heavenly minded that you're no earthly good? Maybe you're too earthly minded and no heavenly good. Perhaps there is another category you could fall into!

The Trap Of One's Story

Our memory has a tendency to draw together events in such a way that our dignity is guaranteed. And the more frequently we tell our story, the more we are convinced of its truth. To give up our story means taking responsibility for our life, for all that has happened to us, and for all that we have made out of it...

Believe in Self; Trusting Yourself

If you wish to succeed in life you must believe in yourself and trusting yourself is one of the most important things for developing self-confidence and self-esteem. It is great to rely on the strength of others and fellow team members...
