OK, I Did It!
There will be an accounting, and it won't be the spouse's fault, or the kids, or whoever we want to blame!

Wings or Crutches
The birds complained bitterly when God placed wings on their backs. God told them to wait a week. Then they discovered they could fly. What they thought was an unnecessary burden became their joy!

|
The Lily and the Thorn
Are we a lily or a thorn? God's grace dignifies us that we may flourish as the lily rather than make thorns of our surroundings because we lack decency and graciousness.

Love Yourself, Too
The acronym JOY goes thus: Jesus, Others, and You. This is the priority. But you are in there also to be loved, for Jesus loves you.

True Heroes
The true hero gets out of bed every morning no matter how s/he feels and gets on with life and kids and work. It may not pay today but it will surely pay high dividends in ten or twenty years from now.

Please, No More Complaining!
I am tired of reading about the frivolous lawsuits and incessant complaining about molehills. The world does not owe us a living, nor a life! When we read of Holocaust survivors and liberators and the absolute hell they went through, how in the world can we complain about another thing?

Check, Recheck and Doublecheck
Faith is the knowing that God is good and just and holy; the feeling of doubt creeps in when the circumstances just don't fit.

Cartloads of Graces
We would starve to death if it were not for God's graces: His wagon-loads of promises to transport us beyond our meager selves to His land of the best.
|
|
Our Skimpy Buckets
Jesus must weep that we have such a difficult time believing that He has the means to dip into the well of life and to draw up for us His sustaining graces.

|
Dancing to Another's Tune
John was solitary and Jesus was sociable. It was that simple and delightful and acceptable. It is too easy for us to misjudge another because that person is either one. Our Creator purposely made us different and distinguished. The Pharisees of all ages have trouble accepting this.

Counting the Cost
If there is a giver, then there must be a receiver. In fact, if we refuse to allow a friend to do something for us, then we are not granting our friend his or her opportunity to be a nurturer.

|
Aisles, Not Isles
God raises up men and women to sustain the burdens for us all, and it is the group's duty to be with the person in heart and mind.

Four Men
The Four Men met for years after It happened. They were so young back then. They were foolish and assumed that they knew it all, that what they did back then was right. They even secretly cut the cloth in four pieces. Never did they dream that the drama they took part in would affect the world for all time.
