Philippians 2:12 is the favourite of favourites for fundamentalist Bible bashers who love to beat up their congregations with it - this is the verse with steel toe caps on, in order to give 'em a good kicking once they're down. With this verse, and in gross Biblical ignorance, they abuse their fellowships by instilling into them that they must be in fear of God in order to properly work out their own salvation. This is a blatant lie, a blasphemy and a perverted use of Holy Scriptures.
